Gospel Partnership
Who we hold in our hearts can express the impact of the gospel on our lives. The gospel starts with our knowledge and response to Jesus being the Christ, the Son of God, and the sacrificial payment for our sins. God’s effort toward humanity is expressed in John 3:16, with God freely giving His only Son, and whoever believes in Him shall receive eternal life. Paul wrote to the Romans that if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, we will be saved (Romans 10:9). Whatever else we allow in our heart will be affected by the gospel because of our belief in Jesus.
Philippians 1:3-7
Paul’s affection toward the church in Philippi produced prayers and a partnership because of the gospel. Our lives are filled with many different elements to deal with and be aware of, but our effort for the gospel should always be able to be evident in our lives. Some forms of support can never be measured, but being a source of encouragement to others for the sake of the gospel is both a blessing and a powerful affirmation of living by the Spirit of ultimately strengthening our faith.
