Prayer & Praise
Ephesians 3:14-17
The foundation of prayer is acknowledging God's power and the work that He has done. The willful submission of bowing our knees to God is not for His acceptance of our prayers but because we confess that “every family in heaven and on earth is named” (Ephesians 3:16 ESV) and exists through His power. Every family has their own battles and struggles, and God is willing to grant strength and power to all of them through His Spirit. This outcome is contingent on Jesus dwelling in our hearts.
Ephesians 3:18-21
Frustration can be misplaced when we lose sight of sharing or celebrating Jesus with those around us. When we lose sight of Jesus dwelling in us, all we’re left with is frustration with failed undesirable experiences. If we approach prayer with the desire and need to be filled with the love of Christ, our prayer and praise will be intermingled together rather than praise being contingent on prayers answered in a desirable way.
Pay attention to the perspective in which you view others and pray for your life to be used through the strength of Christ to display His abundant power beyond our imagination.
