Good Sense

Having good sense is a great tool to get you through life, but many times we think too much of our capabilities and over extend ourselves which is quite the opposite of having good sense. Solomon wrote some profound and yet simple truths that lead to amazing heights and possibilities. These simple truths are only experienced if we keep pushing ourselves to be better and allow others who have experience and leadership into our lives.

Maybe the biggest key to allow these heights and possibilities to happen is to realize that you gain wisdom for the future and not necessarily for the current moment.

Proverbs 19:20

Being able to listen to instructions places us in a lower position of knowledge and experience but willing to be taught. Too many times we wrestle with the frustration of what we want right now rather listening to God’s leading through those who He has put around us.

Proverbs 19:27

When we wrestle with that frustration we may forget the instructions or just flat out rebel against them. But Solomon promises we will stray from the way if we cease to hear. Straying from the path can be subtle and unknown simply because we didn’t allow others to be involved.

Who can you invite into your life? It’s not that you don’t have things figured out, but the path you may be on may not be the best path to experience God in your life.
