Stringing Pearls

In the ancient biblical times rabbis would express statements that we now call biblical truths, by discovering a distinct relation between three different passages of scripture. This process was called “stringing pearls”.

There is one example of this recorded of the literal voice of God speaking about Jesus. in Matthew 3:17 God said: “This is my beloved Son, with whim I am pleased.” Take some time and discover and ponder the connection between these three verses in the Old Testament that reflect a stark parallel to the life of Jesus.

Psalm 2:7; Genesis 22:2 and Isaiah 42:1

Pray that God will give you the insight to identify more passages of Scripture of what He says about you. They were called strings of pearls because their value never diminishes. The Bible is not here for us to just know stories, but to allow God communion with us.
