Faith

I heard a moment stoping question form a pastor as I was scrolling through some social post the other day. It quickly got my attention. The question was “What is God requiring of you today, that requires a lot of faith?” I would love to say I immediately had an answer to that question, but I didn’t. It really made me question my approach to my days and access what I’m doing with my faith. I truly do believe that having faith in God deserve a response as well energies a response with my life. That response should have a significant and sacred place in my day to day life, that I approach with anticipation and willingness to live out.

There are some passages in the Bible that I think we adults view as an elementary passage that can only impact you if you’re in elementary. When in reality they are elementary to our faith. In Paul’s letter to the Ephesians he expresses that they should Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:10). This passage caught my attention in regard that Paul challenged the them ‘In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one (Ephesians 6:16). This discipline of bringing your faith into every situation is the process of clearing our path of life with clutter that pulls heart away from God.

This passage of scripture is not just for our protection from the curse of sin but it also keeps our life pure. As our life stays pure it can also be acceptable to God, help to others as well and produce joy filled for us.
