Payment for God's Will

There are some amazing attributes of God that can be discovered in the Bible. If the attributes are not fully understood it can lead to some difficult ideas that do not display or reflect the character of God.

In a theology class I took in college, I came across one statement that really challenged me to focus on God’s will. The statements was: “He (God) can do whatever He will to do, but He does not necessarily will to do everything.” Our struggle lies in everything we think that would be a good idea is not God’s idea. This is were a difficult path of reconciling our life with faith Christ can emerge.

One this day of the week leading up to the crucifixion of Jesus. There prayer of Jesus was that the cup of sacrifice that He was about to make be taken from Him, but even inside the desperate prayer of Jesus, He confessed “...not as I will, but as you will.” (Matthew 26:39)

As we focus on the sacrifice of Jesus let us be tuned into the will of God being made clear to us so others may see the Love of Jesus through us.
