New & Old

The great divid between new and old seems to never be a dull moment. But what does the Bible say about new and old things? Jesus approaches this very topic.

Matthew 13:51-52

With regard to being a disciple of Jesus, He expresses that an outcome of being His disciple that someone will be considered to be a master of a house. They will hold responsibility and out of the treasure they have collected it will be clear that some of it will be old and some of it will be new.

Our culture is so hungry for new, people are willing to throw out everything that resembles an old way of doing things because they deem it worthless. But Jesus says that both paths of new and old will contain treasure worthy to kept.

Many people have gone before us in faith; resist the urge to ignore their path that may look like a lack of success or excitement. Their peace can be the enticement towards your treasure.
